DISD provides assistance to students needing help with uniforms

Parents and students in DISD schools can request assistance for school uniforms.  According to the DISD Website, “The Superintendent of Schools shall ensure funds are available for the clothing needs of educationally disadvantaged students who cannot afford to purchase uniforms.”

A Uniform Assistance Application must be completed and submitted to the students school.  The application asks for student for the following information:

  • ID#
  • name
  • sex
  • DOB
  • whether they receive free/reduced lunch
  • shirt/blouse size
  • pants/skirt size
