Join Rev. Dr. Frederick D. Haynes III & Friendship-West Baptist Church on Monday, November 11th for a Social Justice Revival hosted by the National Action Network. The event will feature information sessions on topics related to the Texas Voter ID Law, the Affordable Healthcare Act, building coalitions for social movements, and leadership development for engaging community transformation.

Our speakers include Rev. Al Sharpton, Founder of the National Action Network and host of MSNBC’s Politics Nation, and Bishop Victor T. Curry, Senior Pastor of New Birth Baptist Church of Miami, Florida and Southeast Regional Director of NAN.

The discussion will begin with four unique Community Information Exchange Sessions held from 1:00-4:30 p.m. Keeping alive the memory of Trayvon Martin, community leaders have been invited to participate in a panel discussion at 5:30 p.m. addressing the parallel between mandatory minimum sentencing and black male achievement. The revival will conclude with an impactful Community Worship experience designed to build momentum and prepare the DFW community for a social justice revolution.
