Dallas South News Wire (J.L. Turner Legal Association)
President Eric Blue announced today that the J.L. Turner Legal Association, The African- American Bar Association of Dallas (“JLTLA”) supports recent comments by community organizers and leaders of the faith community in which they called for a fair investigation of Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price by the FBI.
No one has been charged, and no one has been accused of wrong doing. Our organization will monitor the course of this investigation and the related media coverage to ensure that the investigation and related media reports are handled with the highest degree of legal, journalistic and ethical standards.
Any leap to a conclusion in this matter at this point would be premature given that the FBI has indicated that the investigation is ongoing. Any speculation beyond that would be reckless, and obviously counterproductive to the pursuit of justice.
Commissioner Price has vigorously represented the members of his district and has been a tireless advocate for the continued advancement of social justice and economic development for all citizens of Dallas County. He deserves a fair and just opportunity to defend his name and stand against any allegations made against him.
