Consumerism: How Much Do We Really Spend? [infographic]

A few days ago, I went to Costco with my friends, Mark and Soo. I always try to go to grocery stores/supermarkets on an empty stomach. Why? So I can spend hours upon hours, going up and down the aisles, finding delicious food and imagining how ‘yummy in my tummy’ it’ll be once I’m in my bed consuming that delicious snack (Yes, I eat in my bed. Sue me.).

Regardless, my close friend Tiago put together this infographic about consumerism and highlighted stats about how much we spend unnecessarily. When I took a look at the graphic, I instantly thought, “Man, I should really go to the grocery store after I eat.” Take a look at the graphic and let me know what you think.

Lastly, when you get the chance, visit Tiago’s site, Visual Loop for a variety of infographics that are being created everyday. I don’t want to give too much away, but I will say this: He will play an integral part in the future of information and how it’s received. So follow Tiago and his work, I promise, you won’t be sorry.
