Join Reporters Roundtable with Cheryl Smith Sunday morning at 8 a.m. live from Harwood 609 in Downtown Dallas. Guests on the show include entrepreneur and healthy eating advocate Debra Peek-Haynes and Lynn Haze.
Debra Peek-Haynes is preparing to launch Debra’s Healing Kitchen, a website that will focus on homestyle cooking, proper nutrition and the importance of exercise. Information on the site will educate and demonstrate how to turn your favorite foods into healthier meals by substituting some of the ingredients.
Haynes is the wife of Dr. Frederick D. Haynes, III, Senior Pastor at Friendship-West Baptist Church, in Dallas, says she will target Christian Believers and anyone who wants to better their health. “I want to help people who truly want to change their minds and physical bodies so that they may be of better service to God’s Kingdom” (Romans 12:2).
Lynn Haze will discuss her upcoming “Meet me in the Ladies Room” event on November 13th in Ft. Worth. The event will take place at the Ft. Worth Event Center from 1-4 PM with the theme “All About Men.” We will also accept gently used clothing benefiting the Brilliance Preschool Academy.
Weekly Roundtable contributors Jay Jackson with the Health and Fitness Tip of the Week, Andrew Whigham on Black College Sports, and myself with the weekly news update will join Cheryl on location. Also, Rev. Jumonde Taylor will provide “The Pastor’s Word” and Robert Musgrove will be onsite keeping everyone on time. Juliette Dobbs, as always, will hold it down from the studio.
Harwood 609 is located at 609 N. Harwood in Dallas. Breakfast will be available for $10 and door prizes will be offered to those who come out as well.
