From the DSN Newswire (Methodist Health System)

Methodist 9 year old

For her 9th birthday, Kamryn Madden didn’t ask for toys or clothes or any presents for herself. Instead she asked for money to donate to organizations like Methodist Midlothian Imaging Center that help diagnose and treat breast cancer. Her mother Kelly says Kamryn became interested in the cause after watching the breast cancer walk on television.

She and her family have even participated in the walk for a couple of years. Kamryn says she, “just wants to help.” This isn’t the first time Kamryn has used her birthday to donate money to a worthy cause. Last year she asked for money in lieu of gifts to donate to the SPCA. Kamryn is a student at Longbranch Elementary in Midlothian.
