Dr. Jill Waggoner, a physician on the medical staff of Methodist Health System and a member of the Charlton Medical Group was the speaker for the recent staff celebration held at Methodist Charlton Medical Center to commemorate MLK Day.
A former Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader, Dr. Waggoner has practiced medicine in the Dallas area since 1993. She holds a master’s degree in Anatomical Sciences and a medical degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She is a board certified family practice physician and holds a certification from the Cooper Institute in preventative medicine, sub specializing in Integrative Medicine.
Inspired by her desire to see the lives of women positively changed, Dr. Waggoner, is also the founder of the women’s support group, My Sister’s Keeper, and the author of My Sister’s Keeper: Is your temple in order? During her speech on MLK Day, Dr. Waggoner encouraged the audience of listeners to not only continue to “dream, but also act.”
