Councilmember Vonciel Jones Hill has offered a reminder about free smoke detectors available to Dallas residents. Anyone who lives within the Dallas city limits and is in need of a smoke detector can call 3-1-1 to put in a request. Dallas Fire-Rescue will come out to your home and install one free of charge.
